Artificial Reef

August 8, 2008

Manasquan, N.J. - Every sea going vessel is eventually retired from duty. Many are cut up and sold for scrap, but a select few go on to serve in a refreshing way.

A fireboat from the New York City Fire Department was recently retired from active duty, but will begin a new career serving as an artificial reef off the coast of New Jersey.
